What is a “Negotiation Attitude”? it’s a mindset that In life and business everything is negotiable and that we all negotiate all the time if it’s for a new car, salary raise, with our kids or for a technician coming to fix our fridge. So yes, we are all negotiators, and if we accept this basic fact we will become more successful and happier individuals.

For example, many of us carry the notion that if a price is printed or published then it’s a god-given fact that we need to accept it, but in reality, prices are set by humans that work for companies that use a set of estimation techniques to set prices for products or services and salespeople that have a quota to meet. Armed with this basic understanding, you can use your “negotiation attitude” to recognize this and provide a counter-proposal that 99% of the time will result in a price reduction and bottom-line savings and another benefit is increased self-confidence and a feeling of success.

The first time you use your “Negotiation Attitude” might feel strange, but I can assure you it gets easier over time.
